North West Women in Film – Kino Call For Submissions

Kino is looking for films from North West based women in film for our last event of the season, a showcase of female film making talent to be held at The Black Lion on the 11th July. Films should be no longer than 20 mins  and completed no earlier than 2011. Any category or genre is acceptable we just want to celebrate the talents of North West female directors, producers and screenwriters. To submit your film for screening contact john.kino@good.co.uk and request a submission form. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 10th July by 12 noon.

Filmmakers from outside the region can also submit films but you must be able to attend the event to be considered and if you have any suggestions for who you think should be on the bill please get in touch. The address for all suggestions and queries is info@kinofilm.org.uk

The event will be taking place at the Black Lion on Wed 11th July , 7.30 doors for 7.50 start.

Our events encourage debate and discussion thoughout with Q&A sessions after each film followed by an opportunity for networking, both in the intermission and after the show. Each short film, where possible, will be followed by a discussion with the director / producer / writer of the film (and cast members when available).

You don’t have to be a woman to attend the screening, audience members of all genders are accepted : )

The venue is just 12 minutes walk from Piccadilly Gardens, 5 minutes from Victoria train station or just 2 minutes walk down Blackfriars Street, off Deansgate (across from the bottom of Market Street/St Mary’s Gate).
