Training Sheltered Housing Residents to Make Films in Eccles &Winton

In June People’s Voice Media asked me to train residents at Kemball House in Eccles and Shepway Court in Winton to make short films so that they can share what is happening in their community. I was very impressed by how enthusiastic this group was and all the ideas they had for stories. Over six sessions, working with residents and wardens, they produced four films using very simple equipment. All of the group used Flip cameras to film and edited their films with either Flipshare software or Windows Movie Maker. The group have named themselves Kemball Flyer and hope to produce more films in the future which they can share with other residents and to the wider world through communityreporter.co.uk.
