There’s a good selection of festivals starting up soon in Manchester so no excuse to stay home and be bored. We’ve got In The City http://www.inthecity.co.uk/ which has already started and is quite short so better get your skates on for that one! Then we’ve got Manchester Comedy Festival http://www.manchestercomedyfestival.co.uk/10mcf_whats_on.aspx which is on from 18th -31st October. Am hoping to get to some of their events – highlights for me are Mick Sergeant’s Mint at Lass O’Gowrie on 19th, Alexei Sayle’s Stalin Ate My Homework : A Memoir at Bury Met on 20th and Laughing Cows at Frog and Bucket on 31st – sounds like a hoot! Those of you with a more bookish nature may enjoy Manchester Literature Festival http://www.manchesterliteraturefestival.co.uk/ that’s on until 25th October. And then we’ve got Halloween and Bonfire Night treats to look forward to in the run up to Christmas. Love autumn in Manchester!
